Welcome to the land of gum scupltures.
Apr. 30th, 2007 10:14 amA good portion of anthropology today was spent watching videos of Dr. Antes’ son showcasing his ‘special talent.’ Chris Antes is apparently famous for his ability to sculpt gum. Yes, chewing gum (he prefers Extra, spearmint). He has appeared on Leno, Ellen and Letterman sharing his ability to turn pieces of chewing gum into various animal-like lumps. His prize possession is a piece of chewing gum that has been sculpted into a pizza with all the toppings.
Suddenly, I don’t feel so bad about not really having a talent, or at least a marketable talent.
Anyone interested in going to see Spiderman 3 this weekend? I’m trying to find people to drag who won’t come kicking and screaming and complaining about how they have ‘oh so much stuff to do’ so if finals are driving you crazy and you won’t shut up about them stay home and do your homework. If you are bored stupid and need some shiny special effects to entertain you let me know and we can make plans.
Now I’m off to research vampires, particularly those from the Buffy-verse. For class credit. I’ve convinced the other group members that this is a good and necessary thing.
