I'm running out of book again. I've been rereading through the Deverry series by Kathrine Kerr now that she's finally able to write them again. This is far more difficult then it actually sounds as all of the books are connected and form one gigantic convoluted plot Celtic knot. Or four Celtic knots that relate to each other and are all interwoven. I suppose this is what happens when you choose to write a world where people go through various incarnations and their past live affect the current timeline. Even though it is really well done and so very interesting it can be difficult to keep all the "minor" characters straight as they go off and die and come back three books later as someone far more central to the plot.

I'm almost done with the thirteenth, and most recent published volume, so I'm searching around for the next things to read. As tempted as I am by my textbooks (the contain information that's shiny and new!) I know better than to get really involved in any of them before knowing what order I'm supposed to be reading them in. The last time I did that I ended up carrying around far too many books that semester. Very heavy books. It's sad though, whenever I go out and buy a pile of new books I want to curl up somewhere comfy and start reading all of them regardless of content.

Instead of doing that, or other productive things, I've been screwing around with LJ. Going around and playing "chase the literate English sentence." I found several journals that were interesting and fun to read and many more that were clearly posted by people who need to rethink their color schemes. I also played around with the "random journal" function. I kept getting journals in languages that I don't read and occasionally don't even recognize. I went through about twenty journals this way on only two of them were in English. I wonder if LJ is predominantly not English and I've only now noticed this, or if my search results are just very strange.
