It's not broken; it's a feature!
Oct. 3rd, 2007 03:16 pmI hate, hate, hate, HATE Office 2007. Everything is shiny, candy-coated and utterly, ridiculously useless. Why, oh why, did Microsoft go and 'fix' things that were not broken. Changing and rearranging all the menus is not intuitive or a good idea. Making all the really important stuff (print, save) only available by pressing a button that doesn't look like a button was a very stupid idea. Also, what on earth is up with the feature that automatically decides I want an extra space between paragraphs? I can almost understand how some people might feel a need for this, but why do you have it set to automatic?
I swear every time I'm forced into poking at the new version of Office I find something else that annoys me about it. At least it's not Vista. Grr.
And dear, sweet people who set up the Office 2007 image for the labs make the quick print button work, fix find file, have the default save set to something that will not be purged when the user logs off the machine, and adding multi-language capabilities does not mean just activating the ability to spell check in French and Spanish.
No love,
Me
