My mind is slowly rotting away. Help me.
I guess this needs some elaboration. I'm currently stuck in a house with my sister and her infant son. My sister, as many of you may have noticed is an inconsiderate, egotistical, borderline psychotic bitch. Since her powers of observation have allowed her to detect that I have no more school work to do, and I'm clearly not at work for the majority of the time, I'm therefor completely available to take care of her infant son. And to do other things like paper her cabinets. The sad part is since it's winter break and I have nothing to do the second option is starting to sound appealing. I might have already done it if she weren't completely insane about it.
(I'm reclaiming my Playstation in the dead of night so that will change. FFIX it's about time I finally finished you. I promise not to get so annoyed with the characters that I quit this time, okay? Seriously, I know people like to go off on how much they hate Tidus/Yuffie/Cait Sith/Rinoa/Squall/the entire bloody cast of FFVIII but compared to Quina those are all wonderful and amazing characters with fabulous dialog. FFIX also has the wonderful Rusty who is actively working to be as stupid as possible. There is a point in the game where he has this whole internal monologue thing going and it's basically "Oh, what's this? A thought? No, no I can't have those! One thought might lead to another and that would be bad. I need to trust other people to think for me. Was that a thought? No! Crush all mental activity!" I want to reach into the console and smack him. If it meant I could eliminate him from the story development altogether I would have the other characters beat him to a bloody pulp and never use a Phoenix Down on him. And I typically don't care how annoying a character is if they are at least useful.
(There's also the "really deep" character of the Rat-lady knight whom I'm supposed to think of as all noble and such because she's fighting to protect her homeland and fulfill her duties that she had previously abandoned to look for her (not dead! No, really) lost love. Instead I find myself thinking, "isn't she a little old for this type of behavior?" I mean at least with Squall I can go, "oh, moronic teenager. He still in that stage of life where everyone is functionally retarded. Hopefully, in a few years he'll grow out of it." I swear when the writers wrote this game they tried to make these characters as annoying as possible.)
