Oct. 27th, 2007 03:54 pmThe silverware gnomes are at it again. My sister occasionally counts all of her silverware/cookware and invariably comes up short. To date she has noticed the absence of a whisk, a medium mixing bowl, a large mixing bowl, two spoons of various sizes, a ladle, a knife, a two salad bowls and a few other things I can't remember. She used to blame me for these things until I pointed out I never use several of the missing articles, they had started to disappear before I moved in and suggested she just blame it all on the silverware gnomes.
The places we find the missing things actually lends credence to the gnomes theory. A few articles have been found in really eyebrow raising places. Like the cabinets in the laundry room where we store cleaning supplies. Today Mike found one of Amy's spoons while scooping up pine needles. It was outside, half buried in the lawn.
A part of me is seriously starting to wonder if silverware gnomes exist or if someone is sleepwalking.
