I never wish I was in decent financial straights more than when my friends are having problems. Not because I want to be all like that sucks and then scurry off to count my pile of cash, reveling in my financial security, but because I would like nothing better than to be able to say "Here, take this, don't die and if you even think about trying to pay me back I will kill you."

I hate not being able to do more than offer advice on how to get out of that situation and be a shoulder to cry on. Especially when the entire situation sucks in an epic fashion.

And have a I mentioned how much I hate applying to grad school? Gah! Like I really need more debt.
